(September 20, 2004) NORFOLK, VA - Gourmet flavored coffee
with a holiday twist - Southern Comfort® style! First
Colony Coffee & Tea Co., one of the nation's leaders in
gourmet coffee and tea production and distribution, announces
two new flavored coffees, Southern Comfort Traditional Eggnog
Coffee and Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice Eggnog Coffee.
By combining the popular Southern Comfort® brand and
its best-selling premium eggnog flavor , First Colony has
created two new coffees that are sure to excite both hosts
and their guests this holiday season. The license agreement
was negotiated by Southern Comfort's licensing agency, IMC
Licensing.
Southern Comfort Traditional Eggnog Coffee is sweet and
creamy, with hints of nutmeg. Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice
Eggnog Coffee expands on these flavorings with extra hints
of vanilla and cinnamon. Both new, non-alcoholic, gourmet
ground coffees are available in 12oz bags.
"The holidays make me think of friends and family gathered
in front of a fireplace, or around the table socializing,
drinking eggnog or enjoying a hot cup of coffee," said Charles
Cortellini, CEO of First Colony. "I think that very essence
has been captured in the new Southern Comfort® coffee
line.two delicious Eggnog flavored coffees, perfect for
enjoying with guests, or for curling up with on a cold winter
evening."
The Southern Comfort® eggnog flavored coffees will
be available at gourmet food and drink retailers, upscale
supermarkets, the First Colony Coffee & Tea Co. website,
and gourmet food websites. The eggnog coffees will be perfect
as holiday presents or for a special-occasion gift basket.
As the exclusive producer of Southern Comfort® coffee,
these new additions complement First Colony's already popular
Southern Comfort collection, which includes Southern Comfort
flavored coffees in 2oz, 6oz and 5lb bags and a new line
of flavored teas. The recently introduced Southern Comfort
flavored tea line is available in 25 count tea tins in these
flavors: Original, Original Decaf, Cherry Crème, Orange
