QUALITY
In over 100 years we've learned a few things. Fancy names and fancy prices don't automatically add up to a truly memorable cup of coffee or tea. We purchase only highest-grade 100% Arabica beans and imported teas. It’s not fanatical. It is the crucial difference between a good cup of coffee or tea and a great one.
James G. Gill, our founder, passed along his dedication to producing gourmet coffees. The day-to-day process of dealing directly with growers of select high-grown Arabica coffees, tasting, accepting or rejecting samples, cupping the coffees and creating the blends has changed very little since 1902.
The manner in which the beans are handled and roasted honors our cherished tradition. We roast the old-fashioned way — by sight, smell and sound. Small batch roasting ensures that we have precise control over each roast. From origin samples to the finished product, we are committed to quality in every stage of the journey.
